all bag slings are now called out as dangerous, thankfully. However the warnings made it sound like babywearing in general is dangerous. Folks are having to do damage control, especially pouch sling and ring sling makers
I am going to be the minority probably.. but I think they are ok used properly with common sense. I have one, I never had a problem with DD being too curled. The way I think about it, women have used slings for thousands of years.. I mean what did Pocahantas use when she carried her baby? I am big on co-sleeping and I have gotten so much criticism. I just think it is one of those products where you have to be careful.

Oh I completely agree. I've had some people tell me I "better not use that carrier again" with the new baby (I have a hotsling, a few DIY wraps, Pikkolo & just bought a ring sling)
I saw small cards you can print out to hand out to people that may approach you while babywearing. I may print some & carry them around if I get any comments.

Well I am mean so I would just tell them it is none of their business but the cards are cool, I saw those as well.
I have a crap load of baby carriers, and I destashed some to fund new ones lol. I wore my son a ton but he is older now. I suspect I will be wearing my new baby even more while I chase my toddler.
I did have cards with NY state law regarding breastfeeding in public in case I got any flak. I have actually never been even given a dirty look, despite NIP a lot, and everywhere..... in many many states. Glad for that. But I felt good having the law on my side, just in case someone "went there" lol
Re: Infantino slings recalled
Ours went in the trash so fast after that warning that I didn't even think about a recall - haha!
