So, I'm guessing no one here has heard of or tried elote? Very similar, just nix the bacon and serve it in a cup. I myself am not a fan (of elote or Sandra Lee) but I thought I would post to show that she's not always drunk when thinking of semi-homemade recipes.

it's the dressing packets that make it gross. i love grilled corn, i love cheese, i love bacon, i love mayo. i just dont like all the processed crap and the huge piece of bacon just sitting on top. trust me, it looked gross.

When I was little, my babysitter family used to put mayo on corn. I still love it.
It's the sauce dressing packets that horrible.
That is a huge thing here in Laredo, corn in a cup is what they call it. Sometimes they top it with shredded cheddar cheese. I think it's horrible but my students say it's fantastic.

Oh dear. I'd never even heard of Sandra Lee before this, and that was the first I've seen of her. Does her kitchen always look like that? And is that her whole schtick -- assembling and "decorating" (and I use that term loosely) food someone else cooked then passing it off as your own? Bizarro.

Yeah it's a Mexican thing. Very popular. You could probably find it at festivals around town and definitely in San Antonio. I personally am not a fan but know lots of people that are. My sister usually likes it with mayo and a type of red chili powder. Elote
i can not stand Sandra Lee! actually i can't stand most FN chefs but she is by far the worst IMO. she drives me up the wall. i think most of her recipes are just gross!
Re: WTF Sandra Lee
she just plain freaks me out.
I think she's a little too ocd on the decorations and seriously the booze content of her drinks, she's gotta be pickled from the inside out by now
is anyone else watching this? it starts with mayonnaise and packet of cheese sauce. i dont normally watch her, this recipe is why.
you made me turn it on.
there is more mustard than burger on that burger.

lolz, her cocktail to go w/ it was gatorade & vodka.
i love her for the laugh value.
This still is my all time favorite Sandra Lee concoction:
The green wreath cake

*runs off to ask husband about this* Germans put mayo (actually Miracle Whip, not mayo) on everything. It makes me gag.
