re the baby wandering Parmer...
I feel for those parents, I would go bsc-mama-bear on someone if it were DD.
I saw the news trucks when I picked up DD. I asked them about it and they said they had an 'incident' and there would be a letter. I asked if everyone was ok, they said yes. I was beyond horrified when I saw the news.
I am thankful that little boy is ok and that we are moving to Bluebonnet school in two weeks.
I wonder if they really did fire those teachers...and if they've been cited for that fence before, the director should go too.

UUUGH, so ridiculous that they didn't provide more info about what had happened - it was ALL over the news and I think it's always best to come from the source than the news. FAIL on their part - in a lot of ways. The whole thing should never have happened, and the way they dealt with it seems even more ridiculous. I'm sure they're going to lose a lot of business.
I've heard great things about Bluebonnet school, btw!
Here is the story.
Ditto, except for the FIL part. but we looked at this daycare too. how scary for those parents!

The thought of that poor little boy possibly getting hurt makes me sick. Hopefully this will spur the state to come and thoroughly inspect that center. Even though the teachers were ultimately responsible for keeping an eye on that boy, there's still problems if gates are left unlocked and/or there's holes in the fencing.
I'm really confused by the story and I feel like there's a lot of missing information. It says the teachers said they did a head count as they went back in from recess, but if that is true then I am REALLY confused as to how it happened and when. I dunno; I'm holding judgement until more info comes out.
If it's true that the hole in the fence had not been fixed after a previous citation, then shame on that school. I find the whole situation scary and unfortunate.
