Those that had Pre-e ?

I was diagnosed w/ PRE-E when I was 37 weeks pregnant. I was induced and had DS via c section.I am in NO WAY planning to have a baby anytime soon but I was wondering what your OB discussed with you when deciding to have another baby.My OB told me I have a high chance of getting it again and earlier on. He told me he wants to have an appt. w/ me before I plan on trying to have another one so I could be monitored earlier on.

    I have Pre-E, and won't plan on having another child for a few years. But, my OB said that with future pregnancies I may or may not get it again, BUT it's usually less severe then with previous pregnancies.

    My doctor told me most peole with pre-e, IF they get it again, get it later and less severely...both my OB and high risk said this.

    this.  and it held true for me.  with dd I had symptoms as early as 20-22w, was diagnosed early in the 3rd trimester,induced at 36w5d, dd born on 37w.  w ds, symptoms didn't start until 37w, induced and born on 38w 2d.   

    a great article The Preeclampsia Puzzle.  search for it on The New Yorker website.   we had our two close in age b/c the research shows decrease risk of reoccurance or severity in close pg.

    I'm with the other ladies on this one. I had severe pre-e and HELLP with my first, diagnosed at 33 weeks and delivered at 35 weeks, 5 days. I had PIH with DS2, but no signs of pre-e. I was monitored very closely as well. My MFM told me that I had a 20% chance of developing pre-e again and a less than 5% chance of getting HELLP.
