When did nesting start for you ladies?

in 3rd Trimester

Personally it hasn't hit me yet. I just want to know when it does so I can prepare my DH for it.. lol..

DH thought i was horrible before i got pregnant, i told him just wait till i start nesting, you won't ever get me to sit down on the couch with you! lol

    I'm 38w1d and it still hasn't hit me! lol but it hit DH a while ago!

    Is it possible to "nest" the whole time?! I feel like that's what I've been doing all along---but I'm a freak with this pregnancy thing, so maybe that's not normal?

    p.s. Your block letters for Aurora=adorable, JUST incase you didn't see my "like" on Facebook!

    Oh no i seen that on FB! I can't wait to get all them on ribbon and hung! Ugh, i want it done now

    a few days ago, so just abut 38 weeks.  The dog has been cowering on our bed everytime I pick up a cleaning supply.  For some reason cleaning gets me to have contractions as well.  I'm planning on cleaning some more tonight...  Our house just feels dirty!  I can't stand it.

    It hit me a few weeks ago and now that the sh!t is getting done and checked off my to do list I'm finally settling down. But there were a few days where I would be so overwhelmed I would just sit there going "OMG OMG What should I do, what do I do, I am wasting time just sitting here, OMG the baby is coming, OMG WTF"

    And I would just start cleaning something random.

    Maybe3-4 months ago. I had no choice since we are moving this weekend and had to prep in advance to make the move easier.

    It hasn't hit me yet.  It hit DH awhile ago - I actually caught him vacuuming the dryer out yesterday.  Tongue Tied

    I hit it last week at 35 weeks realizing that I had NOTHING ready - I have all the "pieces" but everything was in storage from DD.  I got up at 5a one morning last week and took everything down and cleaned it all in one day...it was pretty funny!!  I'm having DS at 39 weeks via c-section so I had a brief panic moment especially since DS was early & I was sooooo miserable and uncomfortable the last few weeks - I'm now all ready, packed etc so bring it on :)

     I never nested for DS ... I think because we moved at 26 weeks so everything was new and here by the time we moved and I pretty much "nested" the entire pregnancy so there wasn't a big panic nesting moment like this time.

    Sunday night! I cleaned the kitchen, dusted and vaccuumed our bedroom, and cleaned our bathroom - from 10:30pm to 1:00am. DH was less than thrilled with the timing - lol! Since then, I've been doing little bits of stuff here and there, with many naps between spurts. Yesterday I spent four hours doing laundry - some of it ours, some of it for baby - and getting my hospital bag ready. (BTW, Target has a great trial/travel size toiletries section!) This morning, I woke up before DH and cooked breakfast (he was ecstatic about that one) and did a couple more loads of laundry before going back to sleep for 3 more hours. I really want to organize the garage now, but I'm thinking that should wait until DH gets home... Guess I'll tackle all the closets instead! Smile

    Although I have cleaned everything twice over and set up the nursery, nesting as it relates to labor (a burst of energy right before babies arrival) hasn't happened yet.  

    Preparing in early 3rd trimester isn't really nesting per say.

    I don't think it's really hit me or else all of my laundry would be finished by now...lol My mom told me nesting comes along when you don't really have anything else to do...

    I've been DYING to start nesting, but haven't been able to do anything until my brother moved out of the future nursery.  He moved out last week and now I can't WAIT to get started!

    I have been cleaning like a FREAK lately. I keep thinking that if I go into labor, I at least want not speck of dust anywhere, all of the laundry done, not a dish in the sink/dishwasher, the whole place vacuumed, bathrooms spotless, floors mopped, dog bowles clean and all of the trash taken out. So I keep doing this every couple of days. I actually laid awake one night thinking of how I can get rid of dust..like, for good. I am a neat freak but this is a bit outta control.

    Mine started last week, I was going crazy cleanin stuff and decluttering etc.  I did some things I prob shouldn't have in terms of lifting but DH wasn't home and it wasn't that bad.   I feel like I'll start twitching if I am not using all of my time productivly and of course my DH is so relaxed about everything and doesn't care about clutter, I've asked him to clean up the basement several times and he does a couple things each time I ask him and its driving me crazy!!  Plus, he's making me feel like a nag becuase I have to ask several times.  If I weren't scared of the spiders I'd do it myself.   I had my shower on Sunday and there are a few things that need to be put together and I asked him to do it this coming weekend, but its driving me crazy having it all sit there in boxes now, I may ask him to do it earlier just so I can relax.  

    Good luck for when you start!  It gets frustrating, but nice at the same time.

    I had a week - 2 week spurt near the end of the second trimester when my energy was at it's highest. Now just waiting for the big nesting stage before baby arrives!
