emabend or others RE:boogie wipes

What is so great about these?  DD needs to be sucked out every morning, and I've just been using a kleenex when the mucous gets near the edge her nostril

Re: emabend or others RE:boogie wipes

  • we just use toilet paper for the occasional nose wiping, but when she had a cold and was really congested and we were having to wipe at it all the time, using the boogie wipes was WAY more gentle (gentler??) on her nose. It kept it from getting red and irritated.
    Dear Bump: You suck.

  • We mainly use them when Rhett wakes up with dried snot. I like that we don't have to do as much scrubbing with the boogie wipes.

  • We use them all the time!  She is congested now and before we had them her little nose would get red and raw...and she would scream at the sight of a Kleenex.  But these just wipe away the gunk and don't turn her red.  My DH used them too sometimes. haha
  • I looooove boogie wipes. I keep a pack in the diaper bag at all times and have several in our house. They are great at easily getting off dried on snot w/o having to "scrub" on his face. When he's just dripping snot constantly, they really keep his poor little nose from getting red and raw.
  • Funny.... ditto everyone else.  They are great for removing dried snot.  They don't make DD's little nose all red.  They also smell good.  DD really likes the wipes that smell like grape.  I used to have a terrible time wiping her nose until my mom gave me these.  It is finally no longer a nightmare.  Smile

What I didn't realize was that so many other people had tried them and liked them too!

  • Just a PSA

We tried Boogie Wipes and loved them, until we realized that both Daniel and I are allergic to them.  I think they contain panthenol?  It's been a while; it might have been something other than panthenol.  But at any rate, if you and/or your DCs have sensitive skin, then keep an eye out for an allergic reaction if you try them.  A rash on the edge of the mucous membranes of an already irritated baby nose was not fun, and neither was a rash on my hands.

Huge bummer, because those things smell delicious.
