I've given LO most of the stage 1 foods (from wholesomebabyfood.com)
He hasn't had mangoes and papayas yet, but when I was reading about them, even though they're listed under stage 1, it suggests to wait until 8 months because they sometimes cause allergic reactions. has anyone's LO had an allergic reaction to papayas or mangoes? if he's tolerated all of the foods that he's had so far, do you think it's safe to go ahead and give him those foods?
also, when did you introduce meats? I feel like that's the next logical progression for us, and then I can go ahead and make little pureed meals after he's tried the meats on their own.
TIA!
Re: sigh. more solid food questions.
oh my gosh, is she blowing a snot bubble in that picture? hilarious!
and good to know, thanks! we don't see ours again until 9 months.
really? i guess the idea of pureed meats doesn't sound too appealing. maybe i should wait until he's eating finger foods to give him meats, or just do a little in case he hates it. thanks for the heads up!
We introduced meats at our first solid meal 5m 3w. DS loves mangoes! I haven't tried papayas yet.
DS has had mango, but not papaya. We don't eat papaya either, and it's pretty expensive to not know whether he'll eat it yet. If we go to a buffet that has it, then I'll let him have some.
DS has been eating meat since 6 months. He does not like chicken dinners, only turkey and beef especially. We've given him pieces of chicken and pork, and he likes it, but ends up chewing on the strings forever. He LOVES my mom's beef barley soup taken to with the immersion blender.
