I made it last night with no pattern, just her measurements (and I made it a tad big so it'll hopefully fit all summer). It turned out better than I thought it would!
super cute - does the ribbon tie arround in the back to adjust the size?
Yep (it's the same fabric as the waist band), and the waist is elastic all the way around, and has a total of about 2 1/2-3 inches to expand over her little pot belly as she grows.
LOL, I don't know about selling them. I usually get on a kick where I'll sew everything in sight for a few weeks and then not touch my machine for months. Maybe though. I'll let you know if I do.
Re: I have to AW this one :)
Leslie, that is so cute!!!!
You should do an etsy store. I always buy baby gifts off of that site.
I can sew straight lines, and a basic stitch, and that's about it. Everything else about this dress was just figuring out the numbers.

The baby and the dress.
hmmmm....
DH has 2 sewing machines.
I have no clue how to use them, but he uses them frequently enough. I wonder if between the 2 of us we could pull off something like that.
that is wonderfully cute!
