Pediatrician Recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician in the area? I am going to be delivering at GMBC. I would like to have a pediatrician affiliated with that hospital. Or if not, just someone who is really good and accepting new patients.

Re: Pediatrician Recommendations

  • We went with Pediatric Partners in Towson...it's in the office park by Applebees on Joppa Rd.  There are about 7 peds there...friends of ours go to Dr. Minton, we interviewed with her and chose to go with her.  She was at the hospital the day after we delivered, doing our LO's initial exam, and we have had nothing but positive things to say about her.  We have dealt with several feeding issues and LO's jaundice and she has been very informative and supportive during all of it.

All of the peds there are affiliated with GBMC.  I have also heard good things about Dr. Feldman and Dr. Mike there.  It is a large practice...they have fantastic hours...open late M-Th, open Saturday mornings and open many Sunday mornings during the year.  They also do the call in hour from 8-8:45am each morning if you have any questions for your ped.

If interested in this practice, I would call and schedule a prenatal interview before you deliver...it's free...just pick one of the peds off the website and schedule it with them to see if you all click.  HTH!

  • I'm using pediatric partners as well, just a different office.  I have heard a lot of good things about their offices/drs.

I didn't schedule a prenatal interview only bc my sister uses them and she is happy.  They told me that it was up to me whether I wanted to or not.  Also, they said to just list them as my pedi and they will be contacted upon the birth.  I was worried about them filling up but this particular office said they will still be accepting new patients as of May.

  • A third for Pediatric Partners!  We use the Bel Air office.  We were referred to Dr. Cox, but Dr. Paxson saw my LO in the hospital and 2x since and we really like her.  I have a lot of friends who use Cox, Paxson, and Feldman.  I don't think you can wrong with any of them.
  • Thanks everyone. I am going to check it out.
  • We were torn between Pediatric Partners in Towson by Applebees (LaSalle Rd & Joppa) & Dr. Sullivan (Gouel & Blotny, PA) over at St. Joe's.

We met with Dr. Sullivan & 1 of the docs at Ped. Part.  We liked them both & both practices were practically identical!!!  We ended up choosing Dr. Sullivan because our 2 nephews & niece all go there & love it.

  • We went with Pediatric Partners in Towson Dr. Miton.  She was on vacation when I had my LO and her partner Dr Kaufman (sp?) saw our LO and he is also very good.  So far we have been happy and they have great hours.

  • I could not love my pediatrician more.  It's Dr. Jason Goldstein of Pavilion Pediatrics.  They are located on Falls Road.  410-583-2955.  We interviewed Dr. Feldman (mentioned above) and Dr. Goldstein.  There was nothing at all wrong with Dr. Feldman or the practice, but we LOVED Dr. Goldstein.  He spoke at a GBMC class we attended.  I love the practice and their morning quick sick hour from 7:30-8:30 that allows us to take our son in even with no appointment.  Dr. Goldstein is affiliated with GBMC.  He handled our son's kidney issues beautifully, and even though it is a busy practice, he ALWAYS remembers who we are and asks pointed and specific questions about our son.
  • I just have to say that I think it is funny (and wonderful) that so many of you go to pediatric partners.  I went there as a child until I was about 19 or so.  In fact, I remember when Dr. Minton first joined the practice.  (I am now 29).

We see Dr Paxson as well and love her! Also have friends that use Paxson and Feldman. Kaufman was my pediatrician when I was little!

  • He was one of mine too!  Did you ever see Dr. Sinton?  He was my primary until I became a teenager and then I switched over to Dr. Minton.

  • Another recommendation for Pediatric Partners!  My son goes to Dr. Feldman.  Definitely a great practice!
