Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Did anyone catch that Attachment Parenting show last night?

It was on discovery health last night.

All I can really say is wow.

And, they froze, thawed, and planted all of the placentas from her children.

  • No  I wish I did. Of course I don't think of AP as being "radical" either. And what's wrong with planting placentas? I might have considered it if we were in our own home. My MW did ask me if I wanted it because it was common in the area where I used to live to use it.

  • I didn't see it but the show is called "Radical Parenting". I just looked online and it's on again on 3/27 @ 10 a.m.

  • I saw it.  What was more concerning to me was the couple who doesn't send their children to school or even home school!

isn't that illegal? so the kids receive no schooling?

  • My sister saved her placenta and buried it in their backyard and grew a fig tree over it. It was in a Haz Mat bag and they just dumped it in the hole. Every time she gets a fig from it she can think that her daughter helped nourish it. She lives in CA, but my hospital asked me if I wanted mine and I'm in PA.

Some people are radical. The majority of AP parents aren't.

    ITA.

As far as the placenta goes, I donated mine. I understand some hospitals do not give you that option.
