Hmm, anytime during the day would be fine with me. I had DD at 11:45 at night and then I was wide awake of course, even though I was exhausted. My days and nights were seriously screwed up!

I'm done but I'd say 5pm - midnight. This way visiting hours would be over and a mom and baby could rest and bond before being flooded with people wanting to meet the baby.

I was torn over timing when I started thinking about it. Overnight (12am-6am) is nice because you get no visitors but you've also been up for most of the day so you really get no sleep.
I had DD at 5pm which was ok but we got way too many visitors and dealt with a switch in the nurses.
I'd say 2pm-5pm. Hopefully I won't labour for over 30 hrs like I did with DS, I can get a good nights sleep, wake up, go into labour, deliver, enjoy the babe with family, and then go to sleep again that night.
Since we're talking hypotheticals, I figured I'd go all out.
5pm-midnight. Dunno why. DD was born at 3:15 but I like the idea of an evening birth. I would also like to have next baby in May or June. I love the outdoor birthday party. It made for sooo little clean up lol. We were done cleaning up after everyone in half an hour!

Probably between noon and 5pm. This would (hopefully mean) I was not up all night in active labor, and it means that guests could visit for a good amount of time, and that baby, DH, and I could go to bed at a reasonable hour.

I think every time slot has its pros and cons, but I think ideally I'd love the midnight-6am slot because it's less likely the whole family would be there ready to pounce.
Then again, my family waited in the waiting room for 12+ hours, overnight, to be there for my daughter's 6:52 am birth (despite our warnings not to come too early).
I had Jacob at 7pm. I think that was perfect. Only a few family members came to see him that night, and then we had the night to sleep/rest/enjoy Jake just the two of us.
Then I got to shower and the morning and felt much better when we had visitors.

I had baby girl at 9pm and that was perfect for me. I didn't want to see anyone after that and they had to wait until the next day to visit. So I pick 5pm-12am.
I had DS at 10:36 pm. It was a little later than I would have liked, but I guess I didn't mind because they let me stay in the hospital an extra day. They said that since he was born so late they'd let me stay for the rest of that night AND two more nights--usually I would have only been able to stay 2 nights total.
Daytime hours please. I had DS at 9:32pm and didn't get moved over to the mother baby room until close to 12am. The cafeteria was closed and I was starving. They found a sandwich for me to eat, but it was horrible. Next time I'd love to be able to get something to eat afterwards!
My insurance only pays for 2 nights in the hospital. So if he was born at 11pm that would still count as a night...then I would be kicked out in like 30 hours...not sure if I would be ready to go.; So I think earlier in the morning would be my choice.
I would do noon-5pm and hopefully have had a good night's rest the night before.
T was born at almost 1am and I was beyond exhausted. I had been in labor for 19 hours and didn't sleep well the night before. We really didn't get to celebrate his birth like we wanted.
Since I know I have to have c-section this time around I'll probably try to schedule for an appointment somewhere between 6:30 and 8:30. This means I could just stay one night at the hospital (I had a horrific experience with hospital last time) and then leave at like 9 pm the next night. That will beat the 5-day, 4-night stay I had last time!
I think we had Moses at the perfect time. He was born at 11:48 am, so we got the whole day together and we hadn't been up all day and all night, which was nice. We didn't have to worry about visitors, because we just told people we weren't accepting any until the next day lol.
But 5 pm sounds nice too, because then visiting hours are over, so you don't have to worry about it.
I had DD at 7:40pm. It was perfect. We had our alone time as a family and then our family stayed for a little while and then left.
Plus, DH does not believe any babies are born in the morning or afternoon. He is joking of course. All the babies in his family have been born at night or in the middle of the night.
I had DD at 6:59 am which was nice because I got two FULL days in the hospital to recover a bit before going home. On the other hand, being awake for 24 hours straight in labor, and then having an entire days worth of visitors was pretty hard. It wasn't until that night that I got any rest AT ALL.
So maybe early afternoon or the middle of the night would have been better.
I like having Jack early. 6am-noon time frame. Because we were in the hospital with awesome nurses and lactation support Monday (he was born at 9:10) all the way till 2:00 on Thursday when we were discharged. I loved having the extra time and support in the hospital. I felt like having him early gave us an "extra" day.
Only because I plan on having another c/s, and last time I puked because I had eaten breakfast already. I want to be at the hospital before I have a chance to eat anything . . .
I had DD at 3:20pm (planned c-section). It was great because I got to the hospital at 11am, filled out paperwork, got prepped, had DD, and was in my room by 5pm. Since the next one will be a planned c-section as well, we plan to follow the same schedule.
I had DD at 11:55am. It was a perfect time. We got to the hospital around 3:30am and only really had to stay for around 36 hours which I was happy about. I was soooo ready to go home.
Re: If you could pick the perfect time to have your next LO...
This! I think around 2:00 sounds nice...

6am - noon would be convenient. LOL!
Hmm... I'm thinking about a quarter to never.
But seriously, I liked having him in the evening, I was so tired after 22 hours of labor and the C/S that I just wanted to sleep, and it was dark.
