  • I just posted - she is unreal!
  • Flame away, but I kind of feel like she's being a bit of a baby.  I guess we'll see what happens when I'm actually in labor!

    I agree!

  • I have never been in labor and am really hoping that I don't scream like that - especially at 2cm.

  • Yea, I don't know what they cut but she didn't seem to be able to do any breathing or focusing or anything but screaming really...

No flames. I mean I've never been in labor but I think she's being a little dramatic.

  • This girl is a F'ing idiot. Why is she enranging me so badly?
  • I have been in labor twice.... and I can say she CERTAINLY was being dramatic.... it is pretty bad, but the screaming will not help! The pain is intense though... I was not expecting that for my first. There are points when you want to claw your skin off, but seriously.

Also, my OB never makes patients wait for an epi... he thinks that is cruel and unusual. As long as you are in active labor, you can get your drugs!

  • Her parents seem really grounded though...I'd deck his mom for sneaking around and letting those kids have sex. It's one thing for them to find a way to do it on their own but his mother facilitated it!

  • The baby does have an ADORABLE head of hair though!!!  She is a cutey!!!
  • Was that baby's heavy fleece blanket pulled up right under her chin as she was laying in her crib?  I sure as heck hope not...

I just posted on one of the other 16 and pregnant posts that just popped up.....but I can say that my SIL was this big of a baby. She was bawling and screaming for a c-section when the doc told her that she was almost 3cm so they were gonna hold off and see how it played out.

So, I'm not jumping to any judgments about boobing at 2cm cause I've seen it before out of adults. Some people just suck at pain.

Yeah agree that some people can't handle pain and I'm sure at 16 it seems a lot worse, but screaming is not going to get her anywhere faster (especially when she tried to take the monitors off of her).

Mom seems a little grounded, but I do have some concerns about this family.  She's sharing a room with the younger brother and mom is also pregnant with a boyfriend? Sorry, I'm kinda old fashioned!

  • I can't speak for this girls experience and maybe she was not equipped to deal with the emotional aspect of the pain.   But, please remember that it is different for everyone and her pain is not the same as someone elses.

Also, screaming/yelling/moaning/humming/singing whatever is the ONLY thing kept me from pushing at 7cm with my first and 3 cm with my second (the nurses actually encouraged me to do so - breathing techniques weren't getting us anywhere at the time) .  I had really early urges to push (I don't think it's typical or normal) with both more previous L&D's.  Anyway, sometimes being loud is productive - not sure about this girl's particular case, though.

  • I think we can all agree that everyone has different pain tolerance.

That being said, I DO think that she was going over the top in order to get her way, since the nurses had specifically told her that they wouldn't give her any pain medication until 3-4ish cm. It seemed all downhill from there. Screaming at the top of her lungs, trying to pull crap off of her...

Finally when the nurse had said the doctor agreed to give her the epidural, she shut up entirely. My four year old nephew acts like this.

  • This is what stresses me out about having a child (and we are having a girl).  I don't know how to deal with young girls having sex and getting pregnant and parents letting their kids have their children's boyfriend/girlfriends share rooms.  When I was in high school the earliest someone started having sex was 16... now it seems like it is much younger.

Why is everyone is such a rush?  and what can you do as a parent, to get your child to realize that there are some serious consequences to having sex...  i tell all my neices and newphew (who are much older- early 20's) don't have sex with anyone who you don't want to see every other weekend for the rest of your life.

  • This girl is freaking me out....I hope it's not as bad as she is making it out to be!!!!!
