We do one big basket full of candy and stuff and then we buy each other one gift to put in the basket. MIL and my parents both do Easter baskets for us. I don't really like it but w/e
I normally make a basket for DH but that's normally becuase he's out of town. I'll send him candy. He loves it. One year he did a glass basket that is a flower vase. It was very sweet.
I've always celebrated Easter, both at Church and with Easter baskets, decorating eggs etc. The first year my husband and I were married I made him an Easter basket and kept it hidden. Boy did I surprise him on Easter! He didn't get me anything. I was okay with that, but I felt bad that he felt bad. I enjoyed sharing his candy though
Nope. DH has an emotional issue with Easter. It is extremely hard for us to even do a basket for Allie without him getting upset. He didn't have the best experience on Easter as a child.
No, we don't do baskets/gifts for each other. I do, however, buy some jellybeans and of course PEEPS to have around the house.
As a kid, we didn't get big huge presents, just a basket of candy, and maybe a stuffed animal or small toy. We'll probably do something similar for our kids.
Re: Easter poll
DH and I don't and since we're not religious it is basically 'candy day' for the LO.
Ditto.
This. I do buy candy (because DH loves loves loves candy) and just put it out the week or so before Easter.
