We weren't planning to conceive just yet but I too have PCOS and you take a blessing when it comes!

Congrats!! I hope you don't mind me asking...how long did it take for you to conceive #2? Were you on BCP after your DD? My doctor told me that pregnancy usually cures PCOS and that I should have no trouble conceiving on my own, but I'm soooo nervous!! Plus I'm already 30, so that doesn't help. I feel like my clock is ticking at double speed!!

I didn't check back last night so I'm doing a new post in hopes that you see it. We conceived #2 without trying. We were going to start TTC around April, but we hit the jackpot with no intention of doing so. I was not on BCP, nor was I BFing.

I'm 30 as well, and was not able to get a sticky baby until I had surgery for PCOS and endo. On November 18, 2008 I went in for a laparascopy to remove a couple of humongous cysts on my left ovary, and it was so damaged from cysts and endometriosis that the doctor removed my ovary and Fallopian tube. Then bam! During my first post-op cycle we conceived DD without any intention of starting a family.

We were going to TTC to have the kiddos close together because the more my body tried to ovulate before that surgery, the screwier it got, and I did not want that to happen again and possibly need my other ovary removed before L got a sibling. So while we weren't TTC just yet, we are of course excited that I got pg even if it was a little sooner than expected.

I have heard that pregnancy can "cure" PCOS or at least regulate your body for a while. Good luck to you! I hope you conceive as easily as I did when you decide to try.
