does your LO have any quirky little playtime habits?

Re: do you let LO pick their own toys at playtime?

  • DS does that, too!  It's so funny to see him swat away any toy I offer when he's aiming for a certain one.  Otherwise, he'll just dump over the basket and bang on it like a drum.  A million toys and all he wants is the $1 Target basket...

  • yes, LO does that and I love to watch it.  He crawls right to his toy box, pulls it out and then goes through the toys.  :-)  Our LO also gravitates toward certain books and "slides" them over to me when he wants to be read to.
  • Hayden will do this as well. he will dump out his toy bings until he finds exactly the toy that he wants, which of course is the toy at the very bottom.

LO just loves to stand up next to his basket of toys and talk, he will pick up toys but he just recently started pulling up on the toy box so I think he is mainly concerned about staying steady rather than playing, his favorite toy is the foam bathtub numbers and letters.
  • I wish DS would do anything gently, lol! He rips toys out of the toy box and flings them halfway across the room . . . . fortunately, he has yet to hit DD (knock on wood).
