I guess I don't get the point of it, maybe if you couldn't see if the person posted at all, yes, but you can still see that they posted. So, whats the difference between seeing the title of what they posted and ignoring the contents and blocking them? KWIM?
And I think of all of the women who pissed me off initially with posts, either when I was new, or when they were. Now I really like reading their posts, or we have become friendly.... in a way that feature takes away from "Bump-Life" experiences.
Only once back in the day have I blocked someone. It was someone whose posts were simply needy and self serving and I didn't need the extra stress of her 1000 posts each hour in my life. LOL! That was back when it wiped them from your view completely though. I don't see the point of simply blocking content. Their subject titles are still going to irk the blocker.

Agreed...i'd rather I just couldn't see anything that they posted, ever...as it is, I would end up being nosy and seeing what they had to say eventually as it is, i tend to just ignore their posts if they don't interest me...

I agree.
Also, like firsttogo mentioned, a lot of people that really rubbed me the wrong way at first have turned out to not actually be the way I initially perceived them - it was just that "first impression we may both be bull headed" opinion that struck me the wrong way ? had I blocked them, I would never have come to that realization/ friendship.
Plus, I am way too nosey to not read about what certain people post - seeing a title but not the context would drive me crazy!

Back in the day with the nest real block feature, I put this real moron on block but people would reply to her in posts by name and I just HAD to know what she was saying since the replies were snarky. So I had to search for her to take her off block. I haven't had the desire to block anyone since.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

I think there are some seriously annoying people on the nest, some stray here, but I don't care enough to do anything about it, as long as they leave me the hell alone. There's just a few fakes ones that think their chit don't stank. Ummm. P. U.
I think the new block feature is also lame. All or nothing.
I wish they would have focused their efforts on the seach function. I have never been on a forum where you can't search even the basics. So sad. there's tons of info out there in Nestyland!

I agree, thenest always focuses on the petty stuff like star ratings, views, and the "block" feature. Can't we get something that will actually be USEFUL like the search function....

This. No one bothers me that much that I feel like seeing their posts upsets me. Hopefully, I don't bother anyone that much, either. If I don't want to read a post, I don't read it.
