Have any of you mamas had your carseats inspected/installed at any fire stations in the Woodbridge or Reston areas? I'm wondering if I can just show up or do I have to call ahead...does anyone know the process? TIA!

Not sure about Reston, but in Falls Church, the sheriffs department does them also. You have to call and schedule it, but it takes no more than 10 minutes.
I had mine done at Ashburn (hope this wasn't budget cut as I will need to go again in May), I did call ahead and make an appt. They have weekday and weekend hours.
My parents just had one put into their car for ds, got it inspected at the new fire station in Woodbridge, on Dale Blvd. They did call to get an appointment before hand. Good Luck!
If you're a Fairfax county resident then you can get it done at your local police station, the fire stations don't do it anymore. They all do it a bit differently so you need to call first. I've gotten mine done at Franconia and Mt. Vernon stations. Franconia is having an inspection this Saturday from 9:30-12. We're getting the convertible car seat done.

Thanks...this summer they (FFX) had basically cut them so this is great to hear!
Re: Fire Station Carseat Inspections?
That's awful! How can you cut safety inspections out?!
