dr. appts?

in 3rd Trimester

When did you start going to the Dr. every 2 weeks? I went yesterday and I am 28 wks and they are starting mine now so I return in 2 wks at 30 wks preg. I was just curious if this is the norm or kinda early?

    I went at 28 weeks and then the doc told me everything looked so good she would see me again in 3 weeks at 31 weeks then another 3 weeks to put me at 34 and then 2 weeks til 36 and then every week.

    Sounds about right.  Mine started around 30 weeks just bc it was New Years the week the week before, so I went 4 weeks to 3 weeks to 2 weeks but I do think that was just bc of the holiday.

    At that time we did every three weeks. Then last time he put on there to go back in 2 1/2 weeks....(For it to be 2 weeks that would be when he was taking a couple of days off that is why he added the 1/2 week on there.)

    I'm an exception - I've been seeing a doctor (at least one of the 3/4 I'm working with) every other week and sometimes weekly ever since we got our BFP at 6 weeks.

    Normal.  I had an appointment at 27 weeks, and my next one was scheduled for 3 weeks later, so I'll have the next one at 30 weeks, and then every 2 weeks until 36.

    My doc told me I have monthly appointments until 36 weeks then we'll start every 2 weeks.  I thought that was late based on everyone in here but I guess I don't have anything to be concerned about so I'm okay with it.  I've had a pretty textbook pregnancy.  :)

    At my appointment last week -- I was told to come back in two weeks, so it has begun Smile.

    I think at some point my doc has people come in once a week -- but not sure when that starts.

    I go to a midwife practice and as long as everything is going fine I don't need to see them as much.  So I saw them at 26 weeks, then 31 weeks, next is at 34, and then I'll start my two week then one week visits.  I don't think midwives, in general, make you come in as much unless you're having complications.  So it gives me the impression that doctors see you a lot more than you need to be seen. For my next baby, though, I'll probably go to a doctor because I'll likely be 35.

    I just had my first 2 week appointment yesterday. Looks like I have a month of those then on to once a week.

    My doctor usually does it at 32 weeks.. but I went weekly for a few weeks due to proteins in my urine.. I only get one appt. thats 2 weeks and then go back to weekly.. since my proteins dropped finally.

    nope that is when I switched too then after 36 weeks I switched to once a week and after 40 weeks I'll switch to twice a week.
