Playard with removable bassinet?

Hi. I'm looking for a playard that has a removable bassinet, in other words, once baby falls asleep in it, one you can just pick up the bassinet from and take it to another room.  We have a kind of big place and with my toddler, I will need to often pick up that sleeping baby and go!Anyone have something like this?  Many of the pack n plays say "removable bassinet" but are they so easily removable you can just pick them up and run?  Thanks!

Re: Playard with removable bassinet?

  • I have 2 pnps for DS with "removable bassinets" but all that means is that once he outgrows the weight limit, I can use the mattress on the bottom instead of at the bassinet height... They are the Chicco Discovery and a Graco one... I think the pattern is Safari friends, not sure.  So don't go for either one of those... I don't remember seeing what you're looking for when I was shopping around, but that's not what I was looking for, so I probably wouldn't have noticed it, ya know?  GL in your search!

Yeah, that's what I was afraid "removable" meant!  Somebody really should invent that!  Thanks. I guess I'll get a Moses basket or something, but I'm really trying to keep the list of new items down this time!

  • There's a million-dollar idea!  I'd buy it!!
  • I have the graco one with removeable bassinet and it does not remove easily at all! I had to use a wire hanger to get it apart. Huge pain!

  • Do you need to be able to take it up and down stairs? We have a Graco Travelite (the "mini" PNP) that has a bassinet and it is small and easily moves from one room to another.
