Sam is coming home!
We found out today that Sam gets to come home on Wednesday. I'm so excited!
I also got to try nursing today and Sam was a rock star!! I had to use a nipple shield because his mouth was a little small to get the whole nipple/areola in his mouth - so I really recommend this if you're having trouble. The nurse said she had never seen a preemie baby do so well with the first nursing try. That was very reassuring to hear!

Congratulations! That is fantastic news!!! I don't know if you'll need or want one, but I have a Baby and Mom Care Log I used when we first came home from the hospital to keep track of everything from bottle feedings of EBM to pumpping sessions, to breastfeeding attempts/sessions, to wet/dirty diapers, to my water and vitamin intake. I also made lots of comments about DD's sleeping/waking and cycles and any issues she was having with gas/reflux/colicky periods, etc. The file is a PDF and I can send it to you if you think it might be helpful. It really kept me sane and functioning even on low sleep and it helped DH klnow how and when to be helpful.
