How do you wash LO's hands?

My little man is always nomming on his hands/fingers. I wanted to know how you keep your LO's hands clean.

I use Cetaphil and water when I am home and I use those First Years Paci wipes on his hands when I am out and about.

I swear every friend or family member immediately puts their finger out for our LO to squeeze before I can even say anything. It is so annoying! Why do people do this?????? Anyways, I am curious what everyone else does.

Re: How do you wash LO's hands?

  • I just use wipes

  • Baby wash during bathtime, but warm water otherwise.  My LO has super sensitive skin.  I think DH goes after the grubby fingers with wipes sometimes.

  • people do all sorts of things without thinking. but some germs are good for their immune systems right? lol.  the other weekend we were at my IL's and my FIL was encouraging their dog to give LO "kisses" all over. which included LO's hands and then she stuck them right in her mouth. I was somewhat mortified.

  • I Just put her hands under the water and use the foam handwash that i use.

It really bothers me when people touch her hands too because they are always in her mouth but i think i would look crazy if i told ppl not to touch her hands.

My nanny washes them in the morning and during bath time and I wash them after diaper changes with a clean wipe if I can remember but I don't really make a point of washing them at other times.

I use the wipes when I change his diapers, but dont wash his hands other than that AND I encourage our dog to give him kisses.... shame on me!
