What is WRONG with people?

A "friend" asked me if I was okay with letting DD stay with my sister since she's a Lesbian. Indifferent

She's her Aunt! Of course I'm okay with her watching her. Good grief people, she's gay, not a child predator!!!

She was there when my baby was born and cried right along beside me for godssake. What is wrong with people?

    DH has had guys he knows ask him "what would you do if your DS turned out to be gay?" in an appaled kind of way. He just replies "well I would hope he would bring home a nice young man that treats him well". I dont know why people are so obsessed with that..  ignorance is a shame.

    I've had a similar thing happened to me.  DS was flirty with these two ladies in a store once and one of them goes "at least he knows to flirt with women!" in a really weird tone.  I was just shocked.  I wanted to say that if he decides he'd rather flirt with guys that is fine, too, but I was so dumbfounded. It makes me sad that people are like that. :(

    Yes, that was exactly my response actually. Haha. She didn't have a good answer. "Was just wondering..."

    I really didn't know what else to say because I was kind of shocked by it. I was in one of those states where my face was red hot and I couldn't form coherent thoughts actually.

    i sooooo would have done this!!!!  basically, if someone jabs at me i want to make them feel like they are worthless pieces of $hit, so i will do whatever i have to do to make them want to crawl in a hole and die.  yikes...i sound like a major b!tch!  lol!

    That does not sound like such a good friend.  You could have said  "We have no problem with DD spending time alone with my sister.  We do have a problem with DD spending time alone with ignorant people.  What if it rubs off on her?".  Sorry that someone close to you said something hurtful about your sister.
