sizes seem to be so different brand to brand! LO is 17.5 lbs now at 5 months and wearing 6-9 months..I wanted to get a jumpstart on summer clothes but not sure about sizes.Don't babies start to slow down on growing after 6 months? Trying to estimate but its so hard to tell!
Re: what size are you buying for summer? ughhh so frustrating!
At Baby Gap and Old Navy most of the clothes are 6-12 months and then 12-18 months. I bought all 6-12 month tops and 12-18 month pants/shorts (we CD so her booty is huge!). For her bathingsuits I bought 6-9 months.
I think in Carters I would go the 9 month route.
I plan on having mostly a nekkid baby since the summers here are hot hot hot.
My dd is right along your ds with weight and size. I was thinking the same as you, as far as them slowing down in weight gain, but dd just flew thru 3-6 months and is now wearing 6-9 months. At her 3 months appt, she was already 14lbs, then at her 4 month appt, she was 16lbs. Okay, she slowed down a bit, but two weeks later, I took her for her shots and she had already gained a pound (and her eating habits haven't changed, plus we haven't started eating solids yet)!!!
I'm planning on buying 12 months clothing, maybe some 18 months. My dd isn't tall, but she's a bit chubby and she's got thighs like her momma...lol!
This for us! Glad to see another small one like my DD
