My 4 yr. old DS is obsessed with Richard Scarry books- Cars and Trucks and Things That Go is his favorite. You also can't go wrong with Legos, unless he already has a lot.
I'd give him the GC for Build a Bear rather than let B do it. Another idea is coloring books, felt pens (much cooler than crayons), and craft stuff. Or, my boys LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this: They play with it all the time!
What about art supplies? Kids quickly go through their paints, crayons, markers (caps left off, etc.), stickers, sparkles, and nice drawing paper. You could put together an awesome gift package.
(especially if he likes the color wonder stuff, as it's too $$ for mom and dads to buy all of the time!)
Is this the boy she went to the movies with? If so, I think it would be super cute to give him a little frame with a pic of B in it and then a gift card to Target so he can pick out whatever he wants. I recently did the Target gc for my nephews, and oh my gosh...they thought I was the coolest auntie ever. They loved picking out their own stuff.
Re: 4 yo boy gift ideas? If they have it ALL?
Books - Berenstain Bears and Little Critters books are a hit with boys that age
Hot wheels crap - ramps, raceways, etc.
Games - Hullabaloo is fun for that age

Legos. Marble maze. Maybe some cool sandles/flipflops? Or something for the beach?
DS loves Richard Scarry too - we've looked at this book for well over a year:

My kids LOVE their stomp rocket!!
I like the GC to build a bear...but have him do it.
Great ideas, thanks girls!
Yes Joseys, that would be him. Good idea on the picture. He has an older one of the two of them by his bed so he can use an updated version!
