we use them and love them. I just bought a cheap pack of washcloths at Target and they've lasted us 18 months now. I just keep a spray bottle of water on the changing table if I need to get them wet.
Like Kat I use the thin Circo washcloths from Target. They're on their 2nd kid now and work fine. I used to keep water in an old soap pump bottle, but now DD goes and gets them wet for me.
To me it seems odd to use cloth wipes and disposable diapers though. I just wash the wipes with the cloth diapers.
Oh, almost forgot. I did make a few wipes out of a flannel receiving blanket. I never really liked them though. They were too soft - they didn't really grab the poo to get her heiny clean easily.
