Because we've now got 2 under 2 I told DH we can talk about the third in about 2 years. I love my babies being close together but just know I need the youngest to be about 3 before I do the baby thing again.
So far the sleepless nights are making me want to say that we are stopping at 1! However, DH and I have always wanted 2, so we will probably start trying when DD is at least a year old.
We'll be having a 3rd (and hoping for a boy...3 teenage girls scares the crap out of me!). I like the age difference between my girls now (just under two years), but I'd prefer not to have a baby so close to Christmas/New Year. Soooo...we'll start trying when Maggie is about 16 months or so.
Mine are 3 1/2 years apart, and that is a good age. My son was potty trained before I got pregnant so I was happy to never have to worry about 2 sets of diapers. I wouldnt want to do that.
Originally we said 3 years between kids, but we want 4 and also want to be young enough to enjoy them all and have them all grown by the time we retire, so now we are thinking of TTC when DD is close to a year old so early next year some time so that they are any where from 18 months to 2 years apart.
We waited 1 year the first time, we'll wait 2 years this time. I need a bit of a break from being pregnant and breastfeeding. I went straight to being pregnant before I was even done bfing DS.
We've just started debating this question, and right now we're thinking we might start TTC this fall. Then the kids would be about 1.5 years apart, if I got pregnant right away.
I think a good gap would be around three years, so two-ish years from now. That actually sounds really soon to me, lol. I didn't love being pregnant, so I am going to enjoy the heck out of these couple years.
If we were to have another one I would wait until everyone is out of diapers... 2 in diapers SUCKS!!!
agreed! also, we weren't TTC with DS, he just turned out to be the best surprise in the whole wide world when my BC failed. so we are waiting 4-5 years until the next LO. we are also planning a wedding in 2011, DH and i are legally married but we postponed a wedding when we found out we were expecting in order to save $$. even though we haven't done anything in the traditional order, we couldn't be any luckier!
We had trouble ttc so we're playing it fast and loose now and we'll see how it goes. I might be pg already (had first pp sexy time 1 week ago!) or I might never get pg again (PCOS is hard to predict, sometimes you ovulate randomly but I never ever ovulated on my own). All I know is that I am through with fertility treatments.

Re: How long will you wait?
I'm here, too. We are very happy right now, and I can't imagine having to share my love with another child.

In two years we will try for another. We only want two and I want them both before I'm 30, 25 now.
Never! We are done now.
