Oh, the grunting!

I thought he would have stopped by now.  It never fails, after Grady's first (long) stretch of sleep at night, from about 8 pm - 2 am, he just grunts and whimpers the rest of the night.  I can't sleep through it, and he can't go in the nursery, because it doesn't exist yet!  Anyone have any luck with this going away or tips on how to sleep through?  I'm losing my mind.
I don't know what's up with my siggy and I am too lazy to figure it out.

Re: Oh, the grunting!

  • I just pop out a boob and feed her.  She quiets down and sometimes a soother helps.

  • My solution is earplugs, AND a pillow over my head :)  I can still hear if she really cries, but it drowns out her grunts and other noises.  Plus, my husband doesn't wear earplugs so he can really hear her, he just sleeps through most of it.
  • mine does that too. anyone know why they do that?
  • My LO does the same thing. Sleeps good for the first strect and then around 3-5 am when she gets up again after I feed her she just grunts, makes noises never reallly settles down good. I wonder why?
