DH and I went to the movies with another couple. While we were waiting for the movie to start, we stopped in a bar to check the score of the games. We sat down at a table and I was talking to my girlfriend. She was looking at we very oddly and then she said, "why are you glowing?!" I could tell immediately that she thought I was pregnant. I quickly responded that I had purchased new makeup that I only wear when I go out (we are in Atlantic City) and then proceeded to order the largest Miller Lite that the bar offered just to prove to her I wasn't. Ugh. I hate that everyone is on the end of their seat waiting...and I am disappointing. Boo.

Re: "Why are you glowing?!" Ahh.
I got straight-up asked if I was pg the other day because I "had a look about" me.
I asked if that meant I looked fat. Cause really, what else can it mean?
Ugh I'm sorry. That is so annoying. I'm worried about this too. I already have my mom and SIL asking "did you get your period yet?" I know next month they're going to be fishing to find out if I'm pg. I wish people would mind their own business!
I have done the same thing. ha!
I would have drank a tall one too.
Ugh... I hate people being nosy!
Cheers! ::drinks a tall one with you::
Before, we didn't tell anyone about our first pregnancy or loss, then the next 2 years of IF, my mom, sister, and cousin were the only ones that knew we were TTC. When we got pregnant, then lost it again, everyone then knew that we had been TTC and are TTC again right away... so now everyone thinks its their business and they're driving me crazy.
I teach pediatric nursing so get asked ALL the freakin time if I have kids. People ask me so, do you want them? It makes me want to scream. I will say yes, I have 2 dogs! They are like how long have you been married, time for babies! I have gotten to the point where I tell some people (everyone I work with is an RN!) straight out that I had a D and C on December 22. They have that horrified look on their face but it is like people are too damn nosy and need to know that innocent questions can be very hurtful. I never ask anybody questions about having kids or if they are going to get married. You do not know what is going on with them!
