1st trip to ER = over cautious parents

DS bumped his head this evening and the bump started swelling immediately and then he got a red spot like a broken blood vessle in the middle.  DH & I got worried because the bump was on the side of his head, where his temple is.  So, we took him to ER. The Dr told us he was fine, which we figured since he was laughing & smiling, but we just wanted to make sure.  Oh well, at least I can rest tonight knowing he's ok.

    If it puts your mind at ease to make sure he's ok, no harm in going. :)  Glad he's just fine.

    Thanks. Looking back we really didn't have to, but I've never seen a bump swell so quickly.  DH was even worried and he's usually pretty calm about things.  The ER doc told us, this is just 1 of many bumps and bruises.  I know Big Smile  It isn't like he's never fallen or gotten bruises before. Oh well.

    I think its normal to be cautious with head wounds.
