I'm such an a$$hole...

So today my coworker goes "Have you heard about (another coworker's name here)?" And the first thing I though of was that our mutual coworker is pregnant. She got married just this past October and I was getting angry/jealous/disappointed that she is already pregnant!! My mind starts racing and I'm sure my blood pressure is rising as I'm trying not to swear outloud..... Then my non-pregnant coworker goes "She got pregnant and was 10 or 11 weeks along and just miscarried." So now I feel like an a$$hole for being jealous and upset that she was already pregnant... I need to get a grip on my life pre-baby! It'll work out someday, even if it isn't the day I want it to be!

    I had a moment like that as well & felt really guilty when she MC at 8 weeks (they told everyone very early).

    I've had that moment too.   In a different sense

    there was a girl I was on the Knot local board with.  Gorgeous.  Gorgeous DH.  Gorgeous house.   Had the best of everything:  photographer, caterer, etc....    Her wedding was stunning, and I could never have afforded the vendors she used (and she was only 22).

    Then her DH died and it was so so so tragic

    I'm sorry to hear that.  It's hard to try and stay calm, especially when you want it so bad.  I try to remind myself, almost daily, that our time will come.  Good luck to you!

    I know I'm not a bad person but I feel bad... I'm sure she's going through a lot right now so I just have to be there if she needs someone to talk to.

    I get like that too with a friend of mine. Jealousy is not good but she does her best to flaunt her good fortune! Grrrr to her!
