Wonder Bumpers

I bought a two pack of Wonder Bumpers to see what they all entailed and see if it was something that can be DIY project since I didn't care for any of the patterns that they had. I think that it would be a failry easy DIY project. All there are is 2 pieces of fleece sewn together with a piece of foam in the middle and a zipper, one part of the zipper is sewn to each side since this is how they are attached to the crib. One end is velcro so the foam can be taken out and washed. I think I am going to go the fabric store and price things out to see if it would be beneficial to make them, rather have my aunt make them! Just wanted to share!

Re: Wonder Bumpers

  • I have to wonder if they'll be less since zippers are so expensive, esp. long ones.  I would suggest looking for a wholesale or bulk source for zippers.

I told my DH that I thought zippers would be the most expensive so we thought maybe we would have my aunt make a few of them in a pattern and then just buy the rest in the solid colors!

  • Did you have any luck at making the wonder bumpers yourself (or rather, your aunt making them)?  I'm thinking about doing the same thing and I was curious.  I'll prob use velcro instead of zippers to cut costs more. . . any suggestions?

    Thanks!
