So 4 weeks along and already a yeast infection. I mean really. I've only ever had one once in my life so this is odd for me anyway. But I hear they're common in pregnancy. Anyone else have one so early?
I got one (my first ever) around 9 weeks ....hope yours clears up quickly. Ask your doctor for a good probiotic suggestion, taking one will help ward off future infections.
what did your doctor prescribe for you? i have this problem but i think i will refuse to take anything until the first trimester is over, since the drug they gave me is terazol and it says on the box not to take within the first 3 months of pregnancy. The nurse told me the Monistat will say the same thing.
I am wondering if there is anything else out there that is 'safer'.
They haven't prescribed anything for me. I looked up Monistat on Safe Fetus and while it's a level C, it did say that topical treatments are ok in the first trimester. I was going on that. I bought it but haven't used it yet. I may call the doctor tomorrow.
