Britax Marathon Rear Facing?

We just got DD a Britax Marathon (had the Evenflo Triumph and hated it) and while I'm thrilled to have the new seat, my DH just installed the seat rearfacing and it just looks waaaay too "upright". Has anyone else had this problem? Of course, he thinks he did it correctly and from what I can tell from the manual and what I see, it IS correct ....but it just looks wrong. Can anyone give me some advice on this? Thanks!!

Is it in the reclined position? There is a handle under the front of the seat. If you pull that out you can put the seat into the recline position. It should be in that position when rear facing. The seat should be reclined between 30-45 degrees. (ours is closer to 30 in our car).

The Britax seats usually have that indicator on the base, where if you see blue (or maybe it's orange), it's not reclining properly. How does that look?

Is it seat belt installed? Ours is really upright too. As long as it's 30 degrees it's okay.
