I just want to say how proud I was of Tracey today! She has picked up a few signs. She's got "milk" down, is working on "more" and does a sign for diaper. The only problem with the diaper one is I often confuse it for milk if I don't check her diaper first. In order to clear things up I've been trying to work on something more specific: "stinky poopoo diaper," where I pinch my nose then do the diaper pinching sign. Well, today I was pretty sure she was pooping so I was about to check her anyway, but she ran over towards the door to where the changing pad was and put her thum and forefinger up to her nose!
I'm such a proud mommy!

She is 13 months. I started signing milk around 6 months, but was pretty inconsistent about it, then a few weeks ago, just before her first birthday, she came up to me and signed milk! It's funny because she'll use one hand, but if she's really insistent about it (and she wants to nurse) she uses two over and over and over.
rrr has been trying to get her sign "daddy" since birth, but I tell him she already says dadada all the time. She will sometimes bring her hand up to her head, but that's as a close as she gets.
"More" has been tough. I got her to do it the first time at the playground while playing on the slide. She's more happy to just point and go "eh eh eh!" when she wants more of something. It's pretty clear then what she wants!
