Hi ladies - I am looking for an OB somewhere on the Upper East or Upper West side (no preference for hospital to deliver). Please let me know if you are seeing someone that you love! Thanks.
Dr. Choy on East 59th or Dr. Pastore on East 71st. Love, love, love them! There is a post on the next page of this board - "NYC OB/GYN Recommendations" - with some info about them (same practice - 2 different offices).
I go to a practice called NY OBGYN with 4 Doctors. Dr. Adler, Kurtz, Bohn & Kassenoff. They are on the UES, at 84th & Park. 212-535-9607. They take Blue Cross Blue Shield and I am sure other insurance carriers and deliver at Mount Sinai on the UES. Everyone has been good so far, but I would say Dr. Adler is my favorite. You tend to see whoever is available that day or week but I like the practice in general. I will say I wish they had a dedicated nurse that could answer general questions or give test results because when call you have to leave a message and wait to hear back from a Dr. even if it's a basic question which isn't always ideal when you work in an open cube type setting.
It's a practice of 4 female doctors. You'll have a primary doc for the first 20 weeks, then rotate through for the rest of your appointments so you get to know everyone. Dr. Lurie was my primary doctor, but I really liked them all (was ultimately delivered by Dr. Langer).
One heads up - if you're waiting on a call from them about something non-emergency related, like test results, they almost always call back late in the afternoon. Just so you're not antsy about that like I was at the beginning

Re: OB/GYN UES or UWS?

Hope that helps.
I was very happy with Westcare Medical, at 327 Central Park West. https://www.westcaremedical.org/
