People keep saying "Oh so and so was such a GOOD BABY". I started hearing it so much & I'm starting to wonder....... what is a good baby exactly? I mean I love DD but she's definately not an easy baby. As a matter of fact she's a bit difficult.... HOWEVER every time she looks up at me and smiles it's totally worth it and I love her just the same. So what is a "good baby" exactly?
Re: What is a "good baby"?
Yeah I heard if you buy two jumbo boxes of Pampers you get one "Good Baby" for free! Better jump on it!
Easy baby....... it sounds so nice. I wish DD was easy. Lol. She's already wanting to be in the mix and she's outspoken just like her mommy. I'm in trouble! Ha ha!
In all seriousness, it is frustrating when people tell new mom's about being around "good babies" and how WONDERFUL he/she is etc... because I look at DS when he's having a meltdown in a restaurant etc & think "WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??" Why isn't my baby like the others... but the thing I had to learn is that it is NORMAL for babies to be fussy, that is how they communicate etc. Purple crying was a whole new concept for me. People talking about good babies at first really made me insecure about my abilities as a mother!
I love my DS, and we have our easy days and our harder days... but all I know is I don't want to compare him to any other baby
People say good when they mean easy.
