12 CLT libraries closing!

In case you didn't see in the Observer, they just announced these 12 libraries are closing in two weeks due to city budget cuts! I'm really not sure what libraries will be left...this sure seems like all of them. This is so sad!

    Stinks but I think they did the best they could considering the budget shortfalls. Looking at the map - geographically the ones left are the most logical. Now parks and rec is up next...100 jobs being cut, activities/classes/events/sports...50% budget cut is my understanding.

    This sucks. CLT has a pretty good system too, I hate to see it taking a hit like this.

    And I can't believe they are going to close the Cornelius branch, it's the first library I went to down here and it's one of the prettiest library buildings. :( OTOH, I can see why they would close it, the Huntersville branch is only four miles away from the Cornelius branch.

    Indifferent this makes me equally as sad.  i have several friends in P&R here.
