Question re: transportation of breast milk ...

Hey ladies,

Still ... my boob milk is an issue ... anywho ... this time, I'm trying to figure out how to transport breast milk ... I use a pack with an icepack that keeps it "on ice" ... I know that it will stay fine for a few hours without any ice, etc. but it kinda freaks me out to have the milk out for hours without cooling

... my plan was to warm it under the faucet in the bathroom of wherever I am but recently, I came across a bathroom that didn't have hot water!!!!! I ended up having to go to my car to warm it by holding it in front of a vent with the heat on max ... which actually worked out great but no, I don't want to always have to go out to my car to warm it ... I guess I could warm a bottle a little before walking in to wherever it is that I'm going ...

anyway, I've seen a few portable bottle warmers but in general, wondering what you all do ... TIA

  • My DS drinks his bottles cold, so I can't help much. Have you tried to give her a cold bottle?

  • don't laugh but in a pinch I've stuck it in my cleavage for 15 min or so:)  I've also stuck it between my thighs while driving.  Sure, it takes a while but if you think ahead you can have it to room temp in 15 or 20 min:)

  • My LO will take it cold.  She really doesn't mind.  Also if you want to warm it you could put it in your cleavage for a few minute to warm it up.
