How old was LO?

How old was your LO when you attempted a front facing carry? I love the idea of my Moby, but I'm just not comfortable with the tummy to tummy because the straps just seem to close to her face, she lays her head down flat on my chest, etc. I am probably just not wrapping it right somehow, but I'd like to try the front facing one. I love the sling carry, but I can't very well do dishes/laundry with that.

    I think he was 3 or 4 months. I didn't try it until I was confident about his head control.

    It was hella uncomfortable and I never tried it again. I use a back carry for when I need my hands free instead. Much more comfy!

    She has actually been holding her head up since day one, She doesn't hold it up like we do obviously, but I guess I could try it. I just feel like I can't reach stuff and like I just can't do it! Ugh. I though it was going to be my solution for getting things done.

    We did it once around 3 months and never again. It was uncomfortable for me and he didn't look too comfy either. If you try it, just make sure you get her really well seated in the moby so she's actually sitting instead of dangling. It can be difficult to do. At 2 months, she might still need the "hide me" factor of a tummy to tummy carry. Try tying it a little higher on your body - you should be able to kiss her head without difficulty when at the right level. That might spread the straps a bit more for your comfort level.

    You could try the cradle carry but have her sitting up more so that she can see stuff.  Around 2 months I would do that with DD.  She would be sitting in about a 90 degree angle with her head parallel to my shoulder.  Her head was only partially covered by the wrap when she fell asleep, so that she had some extra support.
