aw/vent...I hate being poor...

I just got a call from the car dealership. I knew we were behind on our payments but didn't know how far.

They called and said we are almost $1400 behind and they need money or the car. I am so upset. We only have one car. I hate that I can't work and I hate even more that Sean working all the time isn't enough to take care of our needs.

I'm sitting here crying and don't know what to do..I told them I could get one payment to them on the 26th and would try to get more than that. He said okay, that he would talk to the bank and see what he could do. "can you get  a loan from someone?" yeah...right.

 

Ok. I have to get up and shower and try to get through what I have to do today.

 Thanks for letting me CIO on here. I don't want my daughter to CIO, but mommy needed it today.

    I'm so sorry. I completely understand your situation. We have just enough money to pay our rent and the very most basic bills and then we are BROKE. There's no luxuries in my house, no dining out, etc. It's rough. I'm lucky that my parents like to buy things for my son and do so pretty regularly, and my FIL shows up with diapers at least every other week (and sometimes formula and wipes as well). Otherwise, I really don't know how we'd survive. Just know that you're not alone. I hope something good comes your way soon to help out and I REALLY hope you don't lose your car. GL and feel free to vent to us whenever you need to.

    Thank you ladies. My mom is trying to see if she can come up with one payment to match the one payment I'll be making next week so that would cover half of what we owe and hopefully hold them till I can make another payment or 2 in April.

    I'm so sorry, sweetie. It's tough.

    I don't have any advice, but know that you can come CIO to us anytime. You know how to find me on FB. We've all been there at one point or another and it feels like your drowning and there's no way out.

    All I could ever do was pray and pray and pray and beg all of our bills and utilities to give me a little longer to pay...eventually you will come out of it...I know that it feels impossible now.

    We still owe $800 on the water heater we had to replace right before DD got here, in addition to the $1400 we owe after insurance for the hospital bills and I found out that my work didn't withold income taxes for me so we will be getting a much smaller return then we were counting on. You are not alone! Hope your situation improves soon!

    I'm sorry {{hugs}}. These times are definitely tough on a lot of people and it takes a lot of guts to vent out about something as personal as finances. Just like PP have said, it will get better. Someone brought up a good point of maybe selling stuff from home?? I'm looking into doing that too. :)

    I thoroughly agree. We've all been there in some way, and you need to just remind yourself that eventually things will get better.

    I know wht it feels like to be in that situation. I actually had my car repoed 2 years ago, it was horrible. My mom was able to help me get it back, and I was up to date until life happened and it started all over again. In december I got the call saying money or car, of course the lady was really rude and stressed me out. Just know it all works out and although it may not feel like it right now everything will be ok. Just a little advice to everyone having your car repoed in the middle of the night will leave you frantic everytime you have to leave your car out of a garage at night. Whenever I can't park in my garage or I am at my parent's house for the night I panic all night (even being current on car payments) that my car won't be there when I wake up. During my pregnancy I would forget where I parked the car at work and if it wasn't where I thought I parked it I would panic and think it was repoed.
