Anyone else who wants to join, feel free to comment and let me know and answer the questions of the week/day!

So for our inaugural check-in, here are our questions. My thought was to include these 3 questions on every check-in, and then add a unique question to each check-in, posed by someone in the comments from the prior post.

  • Prelim - Do we want weekly check-ins or more frequently? I can try daily (at least most weekdays, maybe weekends) but may not make it every day because I work and things get crazy sometimes.O

Thanks, all! Hopefully this is the kick in the butt I need to stop eating for four. It doesn't help that the Wii Fit informed me I've gained 3 lbs since my last workout 3 months ago...Embarrassed

    1. WHAT DID YOU EAT TODAY (no cheating/lying!): Santa Fe chicken salad for lunch (corn, lettuce, tomato, pepper jack cheese, breaded chicken, cilantro ranch, honey lime drizzle). Snack of animal crackers. For dinner Chicken Biryani and asparagus...and a Culver's sundae w/ Peanut Butter and Heath. :(
    2. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE PROUD OF? Worked out tonight even though I'd already decided to skip it, I changed my mind.
    3. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE NOT PROUD OF? Culver's sundae...
    4. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR UNIQUE CHECK IN QUESTIONS?
    5. ETA: My first goal is to walk the entire March for Babies walk in April, over 6 miles. I'm worried I won't be able to do the whole thing...

      Breakfast: Two bowls of frosted shredded wheat, coffee, OJ, strawberries
      Lunch: leftover chili w/RF sour cream and shredded cheese, saltines, water
      Snack: Two clementines, a piece of whole wheat toast w/nutella
      Dinner: Two beef tacos, guac & chips, water, a beer, two chocolate chips cookies
      Snack: two clementines

    1. WHAT DID YOU EAT TODAY Omg, this is awful:  Pancakes, full fat latte, vegetable philly sandwich WITH fries, vegetable soup, ice cream. 
    2. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE PROUD OF? I took the stairs at work a few times instead of the elevator...(wow, sad, that is all I can think of)

    4. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR UNIQUE CHECK IN QUESTIONS? Hmmm, I'll have to get back to you on that one.

    1. WHAT DID YOU EAT TODAY (no cheating/lying!) Started out well with cereal/yougurt and blackberries, then a Kashi frozen meal (the Mayan one), a clementine, a few crackers, french onion soup, a slice of raisin bread, an orange,chips and salsa,  then dinner of a 1/2 totino's pizza, pepperoni and a slice of fudge.
    2. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE PROUD OF? I am really trying to boost the fruits and veggies I eat, some days are better than other.
    3. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE NOT PROUD OF? We bought a full pound of fudge on Sunday- and it is almost gone now. I am secretly terrified of developing gestational diabetes, but cannot fully stop eating the good stuff.
    4. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR UNIQUE CHECK IN QUESTIONS? I don't know- but perhaps if people have suggestions for really tasty snacks that aren't so bad for you...

     

    I'll play too! I really need the motivation to get/keep moving. I feel like I am packing on the 'maternal stores'. I don't have any excuse right now except that I am being lazy.

    Oh- and I had Culver's ice cream last week... We need dairy right? right?

    1. WHAT DID YOU EAT TODAY (no cheating/lying!) - breakfast- small bowl of cheerios, milk, very little bit of sugar added // lunch- taco loco from Mexican rest. (I did not eat the shell), coke:(, about 10 chips w/ salsa // snack-10 triscuits with cheese & water // quarter of a turkey sandwich, little bit of veggie soup & a little bit of a salad w/ cheese, cucumber, bell pepper, bacon bits, sprouts, onion and ranch (we had Jason's Deli) I had a 2nd coke:( 
    2. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE PROUD OF? Well, I'm cutting myself a little slack as dd, me, dh and my mom (who lives alone so I babied her) were all sick at different times over the past week. I just got my appetite back yesterday
    3. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE NOT PROUD OF? I did not have an appetite so I was not able to screw up:)
    4. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR UNIQUE CHECK IN QUESTIONS? What kind of "diet" (for lack of a better word) do you do? i.e. I watch my carb intake. // Do you reward yourself when you have done good for a certain amount of time or for weight lost? Are you going to to anything special for yourself once you hit your big goal? Do you set little goals for yourself on your way to your big goal or are you only looking at the big goal and why?

    5. Goals - Feel more comfortable in my clothes.  Be slightly less embarrassed to take pictures with my baby.

  • Protein shake for breakfast, tuna sandwich for lunch.  Fruit/cereal for a snack/baked enchiladas for dinner.

    I've been keeping up with my walking after meals and I'm proud of that.

  • I'd like to join! I was doing really well with WW and working out, but this past week I was on spring break and now I'm sick, so both of those things have been on the back-burner.

    1. WHAT DID YOU EAT TODAY: Banana, Tomato Soup and pita chips, apple, Cheerios Chex mix, 97% Fat Free Broccoli/Cheese soup, McDonald's french fries (I honestly can't remember the last time I'd had those. My mom is a bad influence!), strawberry shake
    2. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE PROUD OF? I've stayed the same weight even though I haven't been too good.
    3. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE NOT PROUD OF? Had a lot of wine on Friday and have hardly worked out. I have a sinus infection though...
    4. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR UNIQUE CHECK IN QUESTIONS? n/a
    5. Prepare for a 5k that takes place mid-April. Hit my goal weight before our Cancun trip in June.

    1. WHAT DID YOU EAT TODAY (no cheating/lying!) cereal with a glass of orange juice, french toast sticks with syrup (for lunch....I know crazy huh!), a PPJ sandwich for dinner (I had to work last night so no dinner on those nights) and a small bag of animal crackers at work for a snack.
    2. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THE LAST CHECK IN THAT YOU ARE PROUD OF? I worked out on the Wii for 20 minutes last week. That is big for me as I really have done no exercise lately.

    So far today I've had a bowl of fruit loops, apple juice, coffee, and a muffin.  I plan to have a turkey sandwich for lunch and who knows what for dinner.

    Goals:  Fit back into my size 10 clothes, be able to walk in the 5 mile walk coming up.

Fitting into my pre-pregnancy jeans would be great too!
