A little unusual - (greenbriar mentioned)

So, I got my BFP on 3/9 at 8 dpo by my count, but about 11 dpo if you go by LMP. Having just miscarried, I called Greenbriar to see if I could get my hcg levels looked at early. I had them done yesterday (15 dpo by my count, 18 by LMP) and they were 820. Of course, they said that they would call if Dr. Pickford thought I needed a repeat hcg level check - otherwise just come in at 6 weeks and go for an u/s at 8 weeks since I had that miscarriage.

Well, they called back this a.m. to tell me that the levels were 820 - but not to worry about going in for another check, but to make an appt for an ultrasound at 6 weeks. I really don't want to read too much into that... but it's really unusual for this particular practice to send me for u/s at 6 weeks unless they suspect something.

Ugh. I just want to relax.

Don't read into it. I had a m.c and d/c in jan 2009. In April 2009 I got pregnant again and Greenbriar sent me for an early sono also. It was at 7 weeks. I was actually excited bc I m/c at 11weeks with the first one and never got a sono. Don't stress about it. I love that practice and Dr. Pickford specifically:-)

Not unusual! Try not to read into it at all!!!

I had a m/c in March '06. When I got pg with DD in March '07, they automatically sent me for a u/s at 6w. Although they don't do a ton of extra u/s, this is one time when they'll send you with no questions asked.

I love them Dr. Wertheim was oncall when I was induced with DD but Dr. Pickford ended up delivering. She was a riot in the delivery room and was in there pretty much the entire time I was pushing (almost 2 hours).

First, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I don't think this is anything to worry about. After my m/c, I had three ultrasounds in the first trimester alone, just to make sure that everything was okay.

I don't go to Greenbriar, but I've heard really great things about them on this board, so I can't imagine that they'd be doing anything "weird."

I'm a Greenbriar girl too and just wanted to say I'm sure everything is fine and I really think they are so upfront with people. I adore Dr. Pickford. Dr. W. delivered ds, and he was probably my least favorite to begin with, but I still liked him, and really ended up loving him after the delivery. Dr. Gopal is great too. So silly that I'm actually looking forward to going to my annual in a few weeks to see them!
