Hi Everyone, I figured I would let you know because I couldn't wait 20 weeks to find out the sex of the baby the first time around (or this time! LOL). Ideal Baby Store in Pembroke Pines (i'm not sure if they have it at the other locations) has an ultrasound tech that does 3D ultrasounds and they also find out the sex of the baby. Finding out the sex was $40 (when I had DS) and they give you pictures. If you want a dvd they charge like $70 or $80 and I have no idea about the cost of the 3D ultrasound but its more than $100. I am not sure if they changed the prices or not but you can find out the sex of the baby after 14 weeks. I just thought I would let you all know.
Re: FYI you don't have to wait until your big US to find out DC's Sex
Really? Many of my friends (and I) went there and they go it right. Did they have girls? Its a lot easier to get the sex wrong when they are girls.
I went there when I was pregnant with DS but i didn't buy any boy stuff until the Dr confirmed it. I just can't wait 20 weeks to find out the sex. I do not know why don't they do it sooner here in the USA.
i found out both girl's gender at 16 weeks exactly. It was here in Miami, too.
Wow you are lucky . Did you find out at the Dr's office or la Ideal? Most Drs do it around 20 weeks. I have the NT scan on Monday, I am hoping they can peek in and see the sex of the baby but I am not sure because its not at my Dr's office (its at a specialist.) I can't wait to find out!
Is it hard to tell if its a girl? I know that with DS was super easy because there is something in between his legs and we got a great shot LOL
hahahaha she thought the umbilical chord was the penis? how crazy! hehehe I guess she wasn't very well trained! LOL
I put a PSA if you scroll down about a place that does free u/s and they will check the sex for you. After 16 weeks.
I went today and I'll be going back in 2 weeks for the 3D
All free.

I don't thin you've been around for long enough to remember what I went through 4.5 years ago, but a TRAINED technician told me that Sebastian was a girl for the longest time...she was wrong obviously!!!
Erin, I couldn't remember who it was but I totally remember Hannah being a boy for the longest time and I believe Gretel had the same thing happen toher!!
Wow! you rock! thank you!
LMAO!
Not meaning to sound snarky, but please just wait until your "big" u/s. There is a reason they schedule it between 18-20 weeks and that is for accuracy!

I wish I Could wait but its just way too long and I like to plan things ahead. I don't think they tell you the sex of the baby at 20 weeks for accuracy. I think they just do it at 20 weeks because they want to save money and since you need a 20 week ultrasound anyways to make sure all the other parts are ok they kill two birds with one stone. I have family all over the world and in each of those countries they tell you the sex before 20 weeks (including Israel, which always extremely advanced and cutting edge in the medical field). When I found out the sex with DS at 14 weeks I knew they could make mistake (although it was pretty obvious he was a boy LOL) so I started planning but did not buy things unless I could return them (and we also started thinking about names). Even Drs can make mistakes too (at 20 week ultrasounds). I can't remember who it was (one of my friends' friends) was supposed to have a girl and when the baby was born it was a boy (and they already had everything in pink! LOL). how crazy?
