I went today for my 33 week appt and measured at 28! At every other appt until now I was measuring fine. So now I have to go for another measurement ultrasound and am feeling really nervous! Anyone else had this happen??
At my 28 week appointment I was only measuring 25 weeks so I had to go in for a growth u/s yesterday. I am still measuring behind - 27w instead of 29w, but my doctor called me and told me that because I'm within two weeks she is sure that everything is fine. Until now I have always measured right on. I'll talk to her about it in detail at my next appointment on Monday.
Try not to worry too much. You might just be having a smaller baby! Good luck!
I measured fine until my 37 week appointment last week and then my doctor said I was measuring small. I went in for a growth ultrasound and was told the baby is in the 13th percentile for weight/size. 5 lb 13 oz as of Friday. I was also told that they are only concerned when the baby is below the 10th percentile or above the 90th. So sometimes it just means small baby! Hope that helps.

I measured small at that time too during my pregnancy. Don't worry, babies grow at their own rate and by the time you are due, your baby will be a healthy size. My son was born at 6lbs, 5oz and is a healthy baby boy at 8 months.
i'm measuring small too. i'm consstanly measuring aweek or 2 behind. but at the growth u/s she was measuring inthe 70th percentile. so... mommy can be small and baby can still be right on track
With DD I started measuring off track by 2 weeks + quickly slid to more each passing week. I was having growth ultrasounds CONSTANTLY. It was emotionally draining, and furthered when they started mentioning IUGR and suggested @ 35 weeks when I had contractions that going into labor would prolly be the best thing for her and I.
@37w3d they induced labor under the thought that she might thrive out of the womb.
She was born 6lbs 10oz and scored a 10 on the apgar. The nurses constantly commented that she had the strongest heartbeat pattern throughout delivery and I had the smoothest delivery they had ever participated in.
It appears that DD dropped early and was nestled so low we never stood a shot at measuring on track.
Good luck! Try not to stress if you can! Positive thoughts your way!
At my 28 week appt I was measuring small, so my Dr sent me for an ultrasound immediately. The ultrasound tech said the baby was fine and measuring right on date. At today's appointment - 30 weeks - my Dr said I'm still measuring about 2 weeks behind, but that based on my ultrasound the baby was actually big for it's age. She said I'm going to have another ultrasound in a couple of weeks just to keep an eye on things, but that since I'm tall and long waisted it's nothing really to worry about. Try not to stress!
At my appointment yesterday, I only measured 29.5 instead of 31. My OB routinely does a growth u/s at 32 weeks (mine will be in 2 weeks at 33), and was not really worried. He had done a "quick peek" at 29 weeks and baby measured 2lb 15 oz which was 50th percentile, so we'll see what it measures in 2 weeks.
