gas question

This may be a silly question, but I havent had to deal with gas yet (knock on wood) but how can you tell if LO has bad gas, farts? crying?  Is their a "gas"cry?

    youll notice their discomfort... DD does lots of squirming and fussing. and of course the obvious sign, farting. keep mylicon drops on hand just in case because they work like a charm!

    Screaming, uncontrollable crying out of seemingly nowhere, not able to get comfortable, acting in pain... it's pretty unmistakeable at its worst.

    Arching their backs can be another sign of discomfort.  I think you'll know.

    DD squirms alot (arches back/kicks and crunches up). She has a piercing scream when it becomes painful and can't be consoled until she farts it out. She likes to be massaged on her belly and continuously changed positions until the gas moves on.

    Mylicon is amazing but we had to use it with EVERY bottle before it started to take effect (we did have a formula tolerance problem).
