Save your money first then start trying. Dont expect the government to pick up your health care tab, housing, food or any other necessity. It's stupid, irresponsible, and believe it or not, your biological clock CAN in fact wait until you can afford it, I know, cause mine did.
If you ARE TTGP w/o insurance and expecting to rely in government aid, dont post it here where we will be paying for your irresponsibility and immaturity. Having a baby is expensive, taking care of a baby is expensive. And if you TTGP before you are ready for it then you are putting your babies health at risk with, at best, mediocre medicaid accepting Doctors.
On a side note, to any who got PG accidentally and used Medicaid, Im not bashing you. I get that. Just not TRYING to do it.
OK vent over. 1st Tri got me all irritated!

Re: If youre TTGP w/o insurance
And now I'm heading over to 1st tri so see what got you all worked up
Hey girl! First Tri insurance drama! Im good! It's a rainy, lazy day for me, so Ive been lurking everywhere haha. How are you girl?

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Bahahahah! So true. I think it's best for us who are still trying to gawk at, then avoid once KUed haha!
Thank you for being responsible! Everyone has to reevaluate their TTC status sometimes when situations pop up in order to be responsible adults. It can be irritating, but dang, it isnt hard!
I know, some of the first few pages were just
. But I was bored haha. I feel ya on the wanting to go home before lunch thing haha. I used to get that way when I worked at the bank. Those days are the WORST. Egh! Maybe go have a really awesome lunch somewhere and itll perk you up and the rest of the day will go by quickly?
Any plans for dinner tonight? Or was tonight going to be the Ziti night?
My individual maternity insurance ran out at 20 weeks. I stopped counting medical bills from his delivery once we had paid $15,000 out of pocket...
::gazes down at those beautiful blues to remind myself that he is worth every penny::
Edit to say that we only put $2500 on a credit card and it is already paid off ::pats self on back::
Did you know it would run out at 20 weeks?
There is a difference...obviously he is worth it but losing insurance while already pregnant is a different story, what else could you have done but suck it up?
Wow... I am starting to see why you guys are all so fed up with first tri...
Once I get good news, can I just hang out here instead?
Or pass go and go straight to second tri?
Girl I am patting you on the back too! Way to go! And YES those blue eyes, totally worth it! Hes beautiful!

No we did not realize it would run out, long story short...individual insurance sucks. When I signed up for it they said that it would be enough to cover a healthy pregnacy through delivery, guess times have changed and thier idea of costs for a full 40 weeks is different then reality.
OH YEAH! I forgot it was St patties day haha! AWESOME!
I havent decided about dinner yet, probably a burger by my lonesome hahaha. I dont really like to cook much for just me because I dont like eating the same thing everyday, so left overs go to waste. I cooked tacos the other night and ended up throwing half the meat away:( So I usually do a sandwich or TV dinner hahaha. I know its sad.
Yeah I usually buy the big bulk packs of meat and split them into freezer bags for a 2 portion size when Dh is home. But we always do a whole Lb of beef for the 2 of us cause we usually eat the left overs for lunch. The only thing in the freezer is what I had already portioned before DH left so its all way to much for me haha. But when I go grocery shopping again I think Ill cut it up even more just for me!
I will be on tonight!
Thanks. I just couldn't believe when a woman on our board posted asking how to apply for medi-cal when she got pg and they are still actively trying..drives me batty. It sucked taking a break (which really didn't matter b/c it was a nonovulatory, 70 day cycle that ended w/ provera, but we still used condoms just in case b/c we didn't know whether or not DH would get acquired by the new company - just couldn't risk it).
But hey, I read on here last week that if you do it for an hour you burn like 150 calories!
