I do not drive and my boyfriend drives a regular cab truck. Is it okay to have a car seat in a truck as there is no back seat? Has anyone else done this or have any recommendations? Thanks!
I believe that if it is a newer truck where you are able to disable or turn off the airbag on that side, it is acceptable. Lots of answers to those types of questions at www.carseat.org. Look under FAQ's. It has a section in there about pick up trucks.
Yes it is aslong as you can turn off the air bag. You by law can not unplug the air bag it needs to have a switch to turn it off. Also if the front seat moves then make sure its as far back as it can go.
Okay thanks guys! The truck is a '96... and I'm not sure if there is even an airbag on the passenger side... but I'll check out that website, definitely!
