If your LO has a name that isn't terribly unique but that you haven't heard much of, what is it?
DS's name is Jack. Not terribly uncommon, I'm afraid, but we LOVE it.
However, my name is Andrea. It's not very unique but I have only known 2-3 other Andreas in my life, so I guess it's pretty uncommon. That's the kind of thing I'm talking about.
Re: s/o Unique baby names--how about not unique but not common?
DSs name is Bryce.

My son is Drew. Not very common (at least not around here)
My girls are Ava and Ella (both common!!)
{Ava 5.16.06} {Ella 12.29.07} {Drew 2.9.10}
I think it's beautiful, though.
thank you! After some research, it is a common scottish name and gaining popularity in Australia, but I agree, I think its just not prevalent in the US yet.
I'm a teacher, so I go by how many I have taught...
Believe it or not, I've taught and Isla (and I looove the name). I've never taught a Ruari (it's the Irish spelling, DH is Irish). I have taught a Maggie, and she was lovely, but haven't heard of many of them (although it is getting more popular). So I guess both of my girls have uncommon names.
I'm a Sarah....sooooo very common for my age (and it seems every year really).
We named our son Flynn.
I've never known anybody else with the first name Flynn.
I know a 3yo Tate and a 22yo Tate.. and thats it, so I would say uncommon..
We named our DD #1 Haley and DD #2 Hannah. We have a long, hard last name and were trying to go with easy first names.
My name is Jillian, which is gaining popularity.
I love that name! And I love naming kids after their grandparents (however "great" they are, lol). My great-grandma's name was Ella and that's just way too trendy for me, so we went with her middle name: Mae
My DD's name is Ivy Caroline...a lot of people comment that they do not know anyone who is young with the name Ivy or Caroline, so as another person mentioned more popular with the over 70 crowd.
My name is Annie Marie, again, not unique, but I only know one other Annie that is around my age.
My DS's name is Braydon Jack, which I knew was not unique, but I didn't realize how common it was until after he was born.
