Speaking of baby names.....

So, my big u/s is scheduled for 4/22. Woohoo! There is a slight chance that I will find out the sex on 4/8 - if the baby cooperates and the tech can squeeze me in when I go in for my bloodwork. DH and I are not talking names until we know for sure.

But....that does not mean I cannot play. Like I said, we have our boy name picked out. Its a classic, spanish name. Straight out of the history books. Arturo for his grandpa, Jose for my dad - Arturo Jose aka AJ. AJ is my idea because I think Arturo is a fancy name for a little boy. So....add that to Sophia Victoria and you get the style of names that appeal to us. Classy names with cute nicknames. Sophie and AJ has a nice ring to it, right?

However, if this bean in my belly turns out to have a vajajay....her middle name will be Emilia have DH's grandma. Amelia...but with an E. Not Eee-meal-lia. But Eh-meal-lia. Eh Eh... Soft.

So....wanna play and give me ideas for pretty first names that would flow well with Emilia? Bedilia Emilia is not an option.

My only problem with Victoria as a first name is that I cannot stand the name, Vicki. That is the reason it did not end up as Sophia's first name even though it was my grandmother's name.

Funny...Sabrina is a name I had in my head already.

Jackie, in my family we have 4 Victors. My uncle, my cousin, my BIL, my BIL's father. So....I get it. LOL. My BIL jokes that Sophie's middle name was after him!

I've always looooooved Sabrina b/c of the Audrey Hepburn movie, but DH associates it with Sabrina the Teenage Witch, lol. The only baby name that's in my head right now is Elise and I wanted Sabrina or Sophia as a middle name. But, we'll see, it could be a boy, lol!

LMAO. Liz...my mom hates her name. Do you know that she had it legally changed to Ann when she became a citizen last year? Whenever anyone calls her Ana she reminds them.

I love the name Anna or Ana! It was my grandmother's name and she changed it to Anne too when she became a U.S. citizen many years ago! It would have been our name for a little girl but my BIL stole it :-(

Have you considered Emilia as the first name? That is such a pretty name and not overly used. I like Emmie/Emmy/Emma as a nn.

My grandmother too was an Anna, but went by Anne because back then it wasn't a proud thing to be ethnic. They wanted to blend in as Americans. So funny because all the popular names today are ethnic sounding...
