Getting pg with #2 while EBF #1?

Hi ladies,

Wondering how many of you with 2u2 got pg while EBF? I know the chances are slimmer from what I always read but there are lots of babies born close together and I'm sure lots of the moms EBF so maybe the chances are higher than I seem to find. DD is almost 7 mos and though we are not necessarily trying, we aren't NOT trying either so we will see! Smile

 And... since I'm still not getting my period, how did you know you were pg?

    My period returned when we intro'd solids at 6mo - I was still EBF+solids.  I got pg on my second cycle.

    You can def. ovulate even before your period returns but I don't have any tips on getting pg  :)

    Mostly a lurker..but I would love to hear other responses! I am currently EBF my 4 1/2 month old daughter and we are TTC.

    I EBF both my girls. When DD1 was 8.5mos I got my 1st pp AF and lo and we stopped preventing at that point figuring it would take a few months since I was nursing. Lo and behold I got pregnant that same cycle (at 9mos) and got my BFP when DD was 10mos old.

    She had been STTN since 5 mos. (no night feedings) and had been on solids since that point (5/6mos) as well so I guess that's why I was able to return to fertility at 8+mos.  I continued to nurse her through 12mos (my first trimester with #2) before weaning.

    FWIW - I EBF DD#2 and didn't get my first PP AF til almost 15mos this time around despite similar STTN; solids timing etc. Just goes to show your body is always changing. GL!

    I EBF DS and got my PP at 8 weeks and I was still EBFing.  Then when DS was 6 months old I got pg missed my period but thought it was because I was EBFing, two months later, I felt horrible and took at test - positive.

    Me. I was ebf and never had a period. I got pregnant when ds was 3 months. He was still nursing every 2-3 hours then. According to medical research, this is "very rare" and the chance of it happening was "practically zero." haha wrong. I took a test because I was having nausea. Gl to you.

    Happened to me.  I had really bad morning sickness so that's how I knew I was pregnant.
